Content Removal vs Search Suppression: What's the Difference?

These two approaches are often confused. They solve different problems and they have very different timelines and expectations.

Content removal

Removal targets the page itself or its presence in Google. It depends entirely on the publisher, platform or search engine's policies.

Search suppression

Suppression accepts the page exists and focuses on strengthening positive and neutral results so unwanted results become less visible over time.

Which one fits your case
